Beatrice's classes were really complete and well directed. We covered basically everything regarding picture books, even the non artistic side, and that was so interesting to have her insight. The classes are super motivating and the homeworks on point.

You can choose how much you want to do depending on the time you
have, so it's really up to you !
It was really nice to be able to build our own project with Beatrice's help and vision from the industry.
We had the chance to have amazing writers and illustrators to complete the classes. Being able to know their own process and what they went thought during the whole thing is so helpful.
Beatrice provides for some amazing feedback every week, she is totally dedicated to her students and this is the best thing you could wish for.

As long as you are motivated and ready to discover new things, don't hesitate, you will have so much fun and learn so much.

If this review can help someone out there that has any doubts about taking this class or not … TAKE IT! Bea was an amazing teacher, the classes were detailed about all the steps it takes to make a Picture Book, the publishing industry AND everyone else I met was super nice and welcoming!!
More than 6 months later I am now in the process of reaching out to agents and editors with the story I created in this class and could not be more happy with the result!

Bea is not only a great illustrator but she also a great teacher..if i could i would take her class again.

I learned many important things and got my skills developed from this course. One thing that also memorable for me is, to be able to get connected with some talented artists, shared knowledge and encourage each other. This call is really fun and awesome! I started to miss it now :'(

Bea's course is worth every moment. I had to get up really early to do the course because of the time differences, but it was always so enjoyable and worth every second. Bea offers amazing advice and really takes the time to answer questions.I'm so glad I took the time to do the course and expand my skills as a writer to include illustration skills. I really feel like I've understood so much more about illustration and telling stories in a visual way. I'm very keen to put these all to use.

This was a wonderful class and just what I needed to kickstart my journey into writing and illustrating picture books. Beatrice is such a kind and encouraging teacher, sharing generously about her experiences and knowledge of the picture book industry. Each week we got to build on our own project, with personalised feedback from Beatrice at each step which was invaluable. She went above and beyond to make the class an amazing experience for us all, inviting several other picture book illustrators to chat with us some weeks which was really inspiring. Learning alongside a group of likeminded people was great too, as it felt like we had a supportive community to keep us going throughout the course. Thank you Bea for creating such a fun and inspiring class! I wish I could take it all over again!

Bea was such a patient and lovely teacher who really cared for her students and her craft. She had a tremendous amount of knowledge about the illustration and book industry and generously shared it with her students. Every week I was learning something new, and the classes never felt repetitive. She helped me take the first steps of starting my own children's book which was something I really needed.
Bea would take time to talk with her students outside of class if they needed extra help, which was extremely kind of her and helped me immensely during a creative block. I would highly recommend this class for all levels wether you're a writer, artist or both!

This class was amazing at so many levels! Being a huge fan of Beatrice’s work it was amazing and very inspirational seeing some of the original sketches and ideas for her books and work for Wolfboy, along with all the demos and exercises that were done in class. Every lecture was packed with invaluable information on how to write and illustrate a picture book from the first idea to the finished book and how to publish it. Beatrice was very encouraging and provided invaluable individual feedback every step of the way. I started this class as a beginner and with no project in mind, and with Beatrice’s mentorship and encouragement I was able to build a project from scratch. This class has not only inspired me to continue learning about writing and illustrating picture books, but also to keep growing as an artist. My daughter who is eight years old and absolutely loves Beatrice Blue had the honor and privilege to be part of this amazing experience with me, and it was as equally encouraging and inspirational if not more. Getting to meet Beatrice and seeing her read out loud her pictures books during class was an amazing experience for her. It was in all a truly magical experience!

Bea is a wonderful teacher and mentor. I had the privilege of participating in two of her workshops a few years ago, and I gained invaluable knowledge from those experiences. I was delighted when she extended the opportunity for mentoring. She possesses remarkable talent while remaining humble and kind. She really cares and consistently encourages us to do our best. Beautiful book filled with incredible work, really enjoyed reading it, it was very insightful and was able to enjoy the amazing work within at the same time. All round excellent and as an added bonus the fairy lights on the cover glow in the dark! - truly a magical book. Highly recommend.
